A Track Record Of Family- First Care Since 2006

Founder and CEO Joy Macarus opened Hometown Child Care in 2006 to offer quality early childhood education, with the support of her daughters Lisa, Jen, and Jackie. In 2016, the family added another location at 60 S. Lincoln Avenue (Lincoln Center) in downtown Aurora after complete renovations. In 2019, an additional location was added on Town Center street (Town Center 2). Joy, Lisa, Jen, and Jackie each work at the centers and welcome children into the family.

Grants And Training For Constant Improvement

All your child’s teachers hold CDA qualifications or boast at least two credentialed years in ECE and undergo ongoing development training. Quality improvement grants fund new equipment and toys for regular upgrades to each center.

Head Start Programs For Parent Support

As part of our Early Head Start and Head Start programs at Lincoln Ave and both Town Center locations, we encourage parent partnerships with monthly meetings, on-site speech therapy, and on-site behavioral therapy.
